In 2006, with the growth of the offshore activity in Brazil and the identification of a market in full development, the Fratelli Cosulich Group created a company under Brazilian law, making our experience in the catering sector available to consolidated international customers. the most important Brazilian players have been added over the years.
Fratelli Cosulich Comercio e Serviços Ltda, commercially known as Fratelli Cosulich do Brasil, celebrates now 15 years of activity in the catering service for the offshore Oil & Gas industry.
We operate offshore aboard FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading), Drillships, Rigs, Construction-Support Vessels and Floatel in offshore operations in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Vitoria.
We are based in Macaé, 170 km north of Rio de Janeiro, considered the "capital" of Brazilian oil. In 2015 we purchased a warehouse and offices of about 5,000 m2 with 4 cold rooms that we use as the starting point of our offshore operations, guaranteeing through the use of 150 DNV 10 'certified temperature-controlled and monitored containers about 2500 annual deliveries for the preparation of approximately 2,600,000 meals.
With continuous attention to the environment, in 2019 we put into operation a photovoltaic system in our Macaé base that guarantees about 75% of our energy needs.
FCdB currently employs over 500 local employees. Our offshore and Macaé bases personnel respond to all occupational safety training requirements related to offshore operations as well as internal training for professional and hygiene training in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certifications.
Although the Covid 19 pandemic has strongly affected Brazil, creating various operational difficulties, the FCdB has always guaranteed our quality service to customers. New contracts started in 2021 and we are optimistic for the next few years under the expert guidance of our Office Manager.
After 12 years of excellent service Claudio Priotto, to whom our most heartfelt thanks go, retired: today the company is run under Emerson Teodoro de Oliveira who has been collaborating with us since the beginning of our activity in Brazil.
Our Catering business unit began operations in 1948 convinced that a well-fed crew is a happy and safe crew. After 73 years in the sector, the range of services has expanded more and more offering from the preparation of the menu to the storage of goods in our warehouses with delivery in 24 hours, as well as on-board recruitment.
Today about 5.000 seafarers a day sitting at the table with fresh and well-presented food, purchased, cooked and served thanks to the Fratelli Cosulich catering and procurement contracts.
